ABOUT SUPPORTED CHARITIES
University of Louisville Veteran and Dependent Scholarship Fund
With more than 1,000 self-identified Veteran students and dependents of Veterans using transferred Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits, UofL has a large Veteran student community. While UofL has been named “Military Friendly” for 11 consecutive years, one small way the university is helping Veteran and dependent students even more is by having a scholarship fund these students can access.
This new Veteran and Dependent Scholarship fund will be used to assist Veteran and dependent students to help them achieve their academic goals and their career aspirations. The fund will be administered through the soon-to-be-announced Center for Military-Connected Students. The intent is that UofL will begin offering scholarships for the fall 2022 semester.
Veterans Club Inc.
Veterans Club Inc is a local non-profit organization that focuses on providing connection, healing, recovery, and housing for the Kentuckiana Veteran Community. Veterans Club Inc offers equine-facilitated mentoring, vocational training, and recreational therapy. Proceeds from the HERO Run/Walk/Ruck will aid Veterans in need of financial assistance to pay bills, rent, utilities, etc.
